Griefing is the intentional destruction or damage of another player's base or builds.
Where does it count?
- Damage within 100 blocks of a player's claim may be considered griefing.
- Damage inside another player's claim is generally the claim owner's responsibility be careful who you trust with claim access.
What counts as griefing?
Griefing applies to damage that destroys something valuable or that took significant time and effort to build, including:
- Mob farms and Iron Golem farms.
- Buildings, walls, roofs, and decorative structures.
- Redstone contraptions and machines.
- Storage rooms, enchanting setups, brewing areas, and other functional builds.
The following are generally not considered griefing on their own:
- Crop farms.
- A single tree.
- Dirt, gravel, or temporary blocks.
- Other small, easily replaceable damage.
Repeatedly causing minor damage, or intentionally targeting another player's base to harass them, can still result in punishment even if each individual incident wouldn't normally count as griefing.
Always claim your base and important builds to avoid disputes.
